Set up & Concept - $480
Standard - Simple text with some formatting (e.g. novel): $3 (p. p)
Enhanced text - More complex formatting (e.g. non-fiction): $5 (p. p)
Complex text - Complex text with many images, tables, illustrations: $10 (p. p)
Images - Special rate for placing images, tables, illustrations, formulas and the like: $10 € (per image)
Calculation example for an enhanced book with 200 standard pages (300,000 characters incl. spaces) and 10 images:
1. set-up fee: $480
2. text formatting: 5 x 200 = $1000
3. image placement: 10 x 10 = $100
2. text formatting: 5 x 200 = $1000
3. image placement: 10 x 10 = $100
Total: $1580
Included services
- Professional typesetting for black text. For additional colors, you will receive a custom quote.
- Typographically designed chapter beginnings
- Simple page numbers, Dynamic running heades
- Design of the title pages (half title, inside title, masthead, acknowledgements, etc.)
- Dynamic standard table of contents
- Print-ready PDF (InDesign file is not included in the price)
- One round of proofreading (approx. half an hour) for possible corrections
Additional services
The following services will be charged according to the time spent (at an hourly rate of $120 net):
- Image editing, creation or research of graphics, diagrams and the like
- Creation of complex tables and simple illustrations
- Import and layout of index from MS Word (fix price): $200
- Indexing of terms for the creation of a register
- Creation of cross-references (e.g. for dynamic pages, illustrations or other references)
- Creation of hyperlinks (e.g. for integration of interactive elements in PDF files).
- Sample drafts: you will receive three variants with different fonts and layouts. This service includes three working hours in addition to the typesetting price.
- Special requirements: Individual requests that go beyond the standard book typesetting.
Please note!
The prices are for one per standard page with 1,500 characters (according to VG) including spaces and punctuation.
Mathematical formulas must be submitted as HD images and will be charged as images.
Text Formatting
Your manuscript in Word must be prepared in a professional manner. All text should be formatted with appropriate paragraph styles. If not, a fixed price of $ will apply.
Images and illustrations
All images should be ready to use (at 300 ppi). Image editing is not included in the price. Please include all images in the Word document and send the original files as separate files.
Revisions
Editing and proofreading must be completed before we begin. The price includes a 30-minute proofreading session. Major editorial changes are excluded from this arrangement and will be charged at an hourly rate.

These fees are only for the conversion of the books I designed into e-books.
